Cougar River Air Sports is now showing our new Ion outer body style. We are calling this model "The Transfyre". The Transfyre is designed for the Ion XE, with the Ion threaded feedneck permanently fixed in place.
Transfyre is pictured in 2X2 twill genuine Carbon Fiber, and also in our custom Duracoat Urban MirageFlage.
Also shown are our new fully sculpted slim top grip panels. These are also genuine 2X2 twill Carbon Fiber. The slim upper, finger grooves, and thumb ridge give excellent control with extra trigger finger freedom.
As many of you are aware, it has been a long road working on a shoestring to produce these quality composite products. Each of these is handmade, and the nature of the process eliminates mass production.
The complexity of shapes in our composites preclude ordinary methods, and the development of reasonably fast, consistent, and reliable production methods has been a struggle, to say the least. As far as I know, no one else undertakes to fabricate the complex shapes we achieve in carbon fiber and other reinforcements.
Thanks to all of you who have voiced support and appreciation for what we are doing. It has meant a great deal.
Feednecks:
The EOS and Ion XE system necessitate fixing the feedneck in the removeable outer body. Our system is sized for an Impulse/Shocker feedneck (not the NXT, as they are different O.D.) A Lo-Rise feedneck will fit precisely in the opening. A stock Ion feedneck will also fit, but you must dremel off the threads and acetone off the powder coat. We can install a Warrior Lo-Rise or S.P. Q-Lock if you would like us to. Most feednecks will be held securely by quickly scuffing the lower part of the feedneck and the inside of the socket with a scotch-brite pad, and 5 minute epoxy to the lower part of the tube. Insert in the socket and let it set up for 24 hrs. This is a one way deal. Don't install a feedneck that you wont be happy with for the life of the body.
